Heat the oven to 350°F. Set aside parchment-lined sheet trays. Put butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
Stir after 30 seconds in microwave. Stir every 15 seconds in the microwave until smooth and melted. Wait 10 minutes at room temperature to cool.
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1 & ¼ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
Ingredients: ⅔ cup all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ¼ teaspoon baking powder, Whisk sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl for 2 minutes until pale yellow and somewhat foamy.
⅔ cup granulated sugar, 2 big eggs, 1 tsp vanilla Whisk the cooled chocolate mixture in. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet until no dry spots remain.
Fold in chopped Oreos. 15 Oreos Drop dollops of cookie dough on prepared sheet trays 3 inches apart using a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop or eyeballing it.
Sprinkle chopped Oreos on top if desired. The cookies should be crinkly and set after 11-12 minutes.
On the sheet tray, cool for 10 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
