White Chocolate Cream Cheese Naked Heart Cake Recipe

This is a heart-shaped cake made with plush vanilla cake and topped with cheesecake icing.  


Cake – 4 large eggs divided into yolks and white – 1 teaspoon lemon juice – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 cup warm water – 1/4 teaspoon sea salt – 2 cups cake flour – 3 teaspoons baking powder Frosting – 10.5 oz white chocolate finely chopped – 1/2 cup whipping cream – 10.5 oz cream cheese at room temperature – 2 tablespoons powdered sugar more to taste – 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 250°F (175°C) and place a rack in the lower third. GREASE a 9-inch cake pan bottom and sides. Put parchment paper on the bottom, butter it, and flour the sides. Set aside.  


Step 2

Bake the cake Put egg whites in a large bowl. For a few minutes, pound egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form. Beat in 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar until stiff peaks form. Set bowl aside.  

Step 3

In another bowl, combine egg yolks, remaining sugar, vanilla, salt, and water. Sift flour, baking powder. Combine the batter gently.For thick mixtures, add water by the spoonful until whiskable.  

Step 4

Add egg whites 3-4 times and fold carefully. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes until top is golden brown and spear inserted in center comes out clean.  

Step 5

Flip the cake pan on a large plate after 10 minutes. Peel the parchment paper, remove the cake from the pan.   

Step 6

Let it rest while you create the frosting. Plastic wrap the cake and refrigerate overnight after cooling.  

Step 7

Make frosting Put chocolate in a huge bowl. Heat whipping cream in the microwave or stovetop until warm but not boiling. Add chocolate. Wait 1 minute, then slowly mix chocolate and cream. Cool to room temperature.  

Step 8

Beat cream cheese for 30-60 seconds in a large bowl. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Mix melted chocolate with cream.   

Step 9

Beat fast until chocolate is incorporated and frosting creamy. Plastic wrap mixture and refrigerate for an hour or overnight to stiffen frosting.  

Step 10

Prepare cake Separate cake layers using a serrated knife. Cut each layer heart-shaped. Middle can be hollow or full.  

Step 11

Get frosting from the fridge. Stuff a large-tip pastry bag with frosting and shut. Place first cake layer on large platter.   

Step 12

Pipe dollops of half the frosting on the cake in one layer. Apply second layer and repeat. Cakes can have strawberries, chocolate, sweets, and flowers. Keep chilled until serving.
