Vanilla Pudding Cake is a classic cake that bakes into a soft cake with a pudding-like sauce in the middle. It works like magic in the oven!
INGREDIENT
FOR THE SAUCE:– 1 tablespoon cornstarch– 1 & 1/2 cups (355ml) milk, divided– 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar– 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract– 1/8 teaspoon saltFOR THE CAKE:– 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour– 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar– 1 & 1/2 teaspoons baking powder– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 3/4 cup (177ml) milk– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled– 1 large egg– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
HOW TO MAKE THE SAUCE:
Warm the oven up to 350°F. Butter a baking pan that holds 2.5 to 3 quarts.

In a saucepan, mix the cornflour and 2 tablespoons of the milk together by stirring them all the way through.
Step 2
Put in the rest of the milk, sugar, vanilla bean paste, and salt. Stir the mixture every once in a while over medium-low heat until it starts to simmer.
Step 3
Put the sauce mix into the pan that has been prepared. Leave it alone while you make the cake.
Step 4
To make the cake
Mix the flour, Sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl with a whisk. Add the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla to a different bowl and mix them together using a whisk.
Step 5
Mix the flour and milk together, then add the butter and stir just until everything is mixed. Pour or spoon the batter slowly over the sauce in the pan.
Step 6
Once you put a pick in the middle and it comes out clean, it's done baking. The cake's top should be golden brown, and the sauce should bubble around the edges.
Step 7
Put the pan on a wire rack to cool for about 15 minutes before you serve it. Warm up and serve.
