This vegan Gluten-Free Apple Tart is simple using almond and oat flour, date caramel, and cinnamon apples. Make the crust and date caramel ahead of time to speed assembling.
Ingredient
– Oat– Almond flour– Coconut oil– Maple syrup– Date caramel– Apple
Direction
In a food processor, combine the dry ingredients, which include oats, flour, salt, and cinnamon, and pulse until the mixture becomes chunky.
1
Hold down the pulse button while you add the maple syrup and melted coconut oil slowly. You might not need all of the oil.
2
Apply pressure to the crust mixture so that it covers the bottom of the pan and extends halfway up the edges.
3
Bake the crust until the edges are just beginning to turn golden, and then let it to cool on a wire rack.
4
Put all of the ingredients for the date caramel into the jar of a powerful blender, and pulse them until they are completely smooth.
5
Put everything for the apple filling into a pot. Heat it over medium-low heat while stirring it occasionally. Keep cooking until the apples start to get soft.
6
Let just enough caramel drip over the top of the tart's crust. Spread most of the caramel on the bottom crust.
7
Put the apples on top of the caramel in a way that looks good. Add a few flakes of sea salt and drizzle any extra caramel over the dessert.
