Put the apples, cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla, and arrowroot starch in a big bowl.

Clean the bowl, then put the cold butter and pure cane sugar in it. You can use an electric mixer to cream.

You can use two forks or a pastry cutter to mix in the oat flour and ¼ cup of arrowroot starch until the dough is crumbly.
