These Cinnamon Lattes are sweet, creamy, and frothy with warm cinnamon spice and whipped cream and cinnamon for a cozy coffee drink that tastes like the coffee shop favorite!
INGREDIENTS
For the cinnamon syrup:– 1 cup water– 1 cup brown sugar– 3 cinnamon sticks, broken in half– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extractFor the lattes:– 2 shots (3 oz) espresso or 4 oz. strong brewed coffee– 1 cup milk, (whole, 2%, or oat preferred)– 2 Tablespoons cinnamon syrup, more or less to taste, recipe below– Whipped cream or whipped dairy topping– Ground cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
For the cinnamon syrup:- Over medium-low heat, mix the brown sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a medium-sized pot.
Step 1
Bring to a boil and stir it around a lot. Keep it simmering until the sugar is gone.
Step 2
Cover the pan and turn off the heat. Let it sit for at least an hour, or up to four hours if you want it to taste even better.
Step 3
Take the cinnamon sticks out and mix them in with the vanilla. Put the mixture in a jar with a lid and put it in the fridge until you're ready to use it.
Step 4
For the lattes:- You can heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave until it starts to steam, but not boil.
Step 5
Use a milk frother to make the milk foamy after adding the cinnamon syrup. One of the other ways to froth the milk can also be used.
Step 6
Coffee should go in the bottom of a mug, and spiced milk should go on top. Add whipped cream and spice on top to finish.
