Crinkle Top Chocolate Peanut Butter Skillet Blondies Recipe

To celebrate Friday...Chocolate Peanut Butter Skillet Blondies. Delicious skillet blondies can be made by novice bakers. These massive blondies use pantry staples, one skillet, and no work. Every bite is gooey with browned butter, peanut butter, and chocolate. With a dollop of ice cream, enjoy this enormous blondie warm from the oven. Wow! 

Ingredient

– 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter – 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1/2 cup light brown sugar – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 3 large eggs, at room temperature – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips – 2-3 ounces dark chocolate chunks (or just handful more of chocolate chips) – Flaky sea salt (optional)

Start with a 350-degree oven.   Add butter to a 10-12-inch oven-safe skillet over medium heat.

Brown the butter for 2-3 minutes till it smells toasted. Stir often. Stir in 1/2 cup peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla after removing from heat.

Allow this to cool for 10-15 minutes. Eggs should be bubbling after 2 minutes in a small bowl. Mix eggs with peanut butter. Mix in flour and baking powder.

No need to be perfect—gently whisk in the chocolate chips and swirl the remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter into the dough. Insert chocolate bits into dough.

Bake in the skillet oven for 22–25 minutes until firm around the edges but runny in the centre. Let cool 3-5 minutes after removing from oven. Add sea salt if desired. Grab a scoop of ice cream and dive in.
