This Chocolate Chip Loaf Cake is a simple dessert that everyone will love.
INGREDIENT
– 1 & 3/4 cups (210g) all-purpose flour– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened– 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar– 1/4 cup (50g) firmly packed light brown sugar– 3 large egg– 1 & 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract– 1/2 cup (118ml) milk– 1 cup (170g) dark chocolate chips (semisweet or bittersweet)– coarse sugar, like sanding sugar or turbinado sugar (optional)
Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease and parchment paper a 9" x 5" loaf pan. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy with a medium-speed electric mixer. After adding each egg, mix well. Mix in vanilla.
Step 2
Lower the mixer speed. Three flour portions and two milk portions alternate. Mix until combined or flour streaks remain. Set aside 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and mix the rest into the batter.
Step 3
Spread batter evenly in the pan. Top the cake with the reserved chocolate chips. Top the batter with a few pinches of coarse sugar.
Step 4
Bake 60–65 minutes until the top is lightly browned and a pick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Step 5
Cool 10–15 minutes on a wire rack in the pan. After removing the cake from the pan, cool it on a wire rack.
