This process may look scary, but I promise it's not hard at all! We're not going to use thermometers or other fancy tools; we'll just use our senses! Just keep a close eye on it and take it off the heat as soon as it's done.
Ingredient
– ¾ cup Unsalted Butter– ¾ cup Brown Sugar– ½ cup White Sugar – 2 Egg– ¾ cup All Purpose Flour– ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda– 1 teaspoon Sea Salt– 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract– 2 cups Chocolate Chunk
Direction
1
Keep stirring butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Before turning yellow, golden, or toasted brown, it will foam. Once this happens, remove it from the heat and cool in a bowl.
2
After the browned butter cools, mix it with the two sugars, then add the eggs and vanilla.
3
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mix until dough forms.
4
Mix in chocolate chunks and refrigerate 30 minutes. Ready to bake? Preheat oven to 350°F.
5
Roll the chilled dough into walnut-sized balls and slightly squish them on the baking sheet before baking. Place in oven for 12 minutes until edges turn golden. The middle should remain squishy.
